The new Golf GTI: sporty hatchback sedan now digital
The eighth generation of the iconic Golf GTI hatchback sedan is, like its counterpart available in Europe, more digital and even sportier. The model of the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture, specially adapted for the Chinese market, comes up with exclusive GTI design features, including matrix LED headlights with tracking control and dynamic light control, an exclusive central GTI control panel, an engine start button with red pulsating backlighting, and a multifunction sports leather steering wheel , a sports suspension, large wheels and more. With the Talon, FAW-Volkswagen delivers the latest example of the SUV offensive in China and opens a new segment between SUV and MPV. The Talon is 5.152 millimeters long, 2.002 millimeters wide, 1.795 millimeters high, has a wheelbase of 2.980 millimeters, and is available as a six- or seven-seater. It is based on the MQB Evo platform and therefore has the latest hardware and software onboard for the most user-friendly driving experience possible. The exterior appears modern and unique thanks to the light package with illuminated door handles and strips as well as the illuminated logo on the rear. The interior is equipped with the latest Innovision cockpit in a free-floating design, which further enhances the spacious impression. The top drive is a 2,5-liter V6 engine with the DQ501 gearbox and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. The Talon is therefore the ideal companion for use in the city and off-road.
ACCELERATE: The future is electric
With the corporate strategy ACCELERATE, Volkswagen will once again accelerate its electrification offensive in the coming years. .
